Course Outline

Explore hot glass sculpture with Theo Brooks. Learn the basics of solid sculpting using an oxy-propane torch to manipulate the solid form and create textures and surface qualities. Theo will demonstrate several ways in which to attach sculpted parts together to create larger or more intricate sculptures using both blown and solid forms. The emphasis will be on teamwork and working together to construct more lively work. Some glass making experienced is required but this class can accommodate students with different skill levels.
