Join our Glassblowing Weekend course - a wonderful introduction to glassmaking with plenty of hands-on practice. Over two days learn how to gather, blow and shape hot molten glass straight from the furnace.

Extend your kiln forming experience and discover how to create vessels using the 'Drop-Out' technique. We will cover cutting, assembly, inclusions, kiln firing and slumping. We will also look at finishing techniques. A great way to develop new ideas and skills. Some prior experience with glass fusing is required for this course.

The ideal follow-on course to our one-day or half-day classes. You will learn the fundamental skills of hot glass sculpture to shape a flower and a bird - getting the feel of how to master this magical material. In the afternoon create a bowl, plate or tumbler.

Get creative with glass and explore a range of techniques for manipulating glass in the kiln. You'll experiment with glass fusing, reactive fusing, iridescent fusing and deep fusing. We will also look at relief casting, slumping, drop-out moulds, pot melts and open-faced moulds, creating form and texture in cast glass.
