The Glass Hub Summer School 2027
Course Outline
Five days of glassmaking! Get creative this summer and discover what this amazing material can do as you spend an inspiring and immersive week with us exploring glassblowing, flameworking, fusing, slumping, casting and sandcasting.
You will shape molten glass at the furnace, work with glass in the flame using a torch, explore colour and pattern, and discover how glass can be formed using kilns, moulds and sand. The focus is on hands-on practice, supported by expert demonstrations and guidance from our highly qualified and experienced team of tutors.
A creative, fun and action-packed week with time to experiment, learn new skills and make a collection of your own glass pieces.
After a day of glassmaking, why not enjoy a cream tea or a wild swim on site, visit the nearby city of Bath, explore the lively local towns or relax in a village pub? Cream teas are served daily from 2–6pm at Stowford Manor Farm, and you can join Farleigh Swimming Club to swim in the river on our doorstep with a £14 annual pass.
Come and learn, enjoy and share the art of glass at The Hub.
