On our introductory weekend of glassblowing you will gain first hand experience of this ancient craft. Get hands-on and learn how to gather, form and blow hot molten glass straight from the furnace. With your own choice of colour, you will blow a glass sphere, a paperweight, and a vase.  The first day is fast-paced as we focus on hands-on techniques, and getting a feel for this fascinating material.

On the second day continue to gain expertise in blowing techniques as you explore further shapes and skills on the bench, making objects such as a tumbler, a bowl or plate, adding you own colours. A fun and immersive glass experience.

You will work in a group of up to four student, watching demonstrations and taking it in turns to work on the bench.
