Masterclass: Venetian Stemware – Dave Barry

2 LATE CANCELLATION PLACES! A fast paced masterclass on Venetian style glass stemware. The course aims to provide a grounding in the technique used to blow delicate, thin-walled goblets. You will be taught how to use optic moulds, to create blown stems and blown feet, as well as working efficiently as a team. With demonstrations and plenty of hands-on learning, this course will push your glassmaking to new limits.

Masterclass: Glass from Nature – Andrea Spencer

Take inspiration from nature on this three-day flameworking workshop. Using heat and gravity to manipulate glass in the flame you will learn methods and techniques to bend, stretch, sculpt and carve molten glass, creating sculptural objects, inspired by natural forms.

One-Day Further Fusing

An opportunity to explore some exciting new techniques in fusing and slumping, including crackle fusing, fossil vitra, working with dichroic glass and drop-out slumping.

Drop Out Vessels

Extend your kiln forming experience and discover how to create vessels using the 'Drop-Out' technique. We will cover cutting, assembly, inclusions, kiln firing and slumping. We will also look at finishing techniques. A great way to develop new ideas and skills. Some prior experience with glass fusing is required for this course.

A great glassblowing 'taster' and introduction to the magic of glass. You will gather hot molten glass straight from the furnace and shape into two objects. Through hands-on making you will gain first-hand insight into this ancient craft.

3-Day Kilnworking

Get creative with glass and explore a range of techniques for manipulating glass in the kiln. You'll experiment with glass fusing, reactive fusing, iridescent fusing and deep fusing. We will also look at relief casting, slumping, drop-out moulds, pot melts and open-faced moulds - creating form and texture in cast glass.
