3-Day Kilnworking

Get creative with glass and explore a range of techniques for manipulating glass in the kiln. You'll experiment with glass fusing, reactive fusing, iridescent fusing and deep fusing. We will also look at relief casting, slumping, drop-out moulds, pot melts and open-faced moulds - creating form and texture in cast glass.

Glass Foundation Course (8 weeks)

Our 8-week glass foundation course is a great way to explore a wide variety of techniques and processes involved in creating with glass. Each Wednesday you will explore hot glassblowing and kiln-forming techniques together with some lampworking, sandblasting and more.

One Day Further Glass Fusing

Explore some exciting new techniques in fusing and slumping, including crackle fusing, fossil vitra, working with dichroic glass and drop-out slumping.

One Day Glass Fusing

Discover the art of fusing glass and explore a variety of techniques. You will learn the fundamentals of glass cutting, assembly, inclusions, kiln firing and slumping under the expert guidance of the Glass Hub Tutors. A great introduction for beginners or artists working in other mediums to experiment with this art form.

Fossil Vitra

Join us for a day exploring the ‘Fossil Vitra’ technique to create new effects in fused glass. Using prepared organic objects such as leaves or flowers you will work with glass powder applications and stencilling to create stunning fossil-like effects.

Masterclass: Colour Dropouts – Ruth Shelley

Have you ever wanted to re-create the colours that inspire you into glass but not sure where to start. Ruth Shelley will guide you through the Bullseye colour palette with demonstrations, practical hands-on experiments and discussion.

One-Day Further Fusing

An opportunity to explore some exciting new techniques in fusing and slumping, including crackle fusing, fossil vitra, working with dichroic glass and drop-out slumping.

Drop Out Vessels

Extend your kiln forming experience and discover how to create vessels using the 'Drop-Out' technique. We will cover cutting, assembly, inclusions, kiln firing and slumping. We will also look at finishing techniques. A great way to develop new ideas and skills. Some prior experience with glass fusing is required for this course.

Masterclass: Fusing doesn’t have to be flat – Nina Casson McGarva

Create 3D sculptures using hot glass manipulation with traditional fusing techniques as a base. The emphasis will be on experimentation and is suitable for intermediate to advanced students who can embrace failure as being part of the learning curve in testing the limits of glass fusing.

Fused Glass Jewellery

Join us for a special day of fused glass jewellery making. Using clear, coloured and dichroic glass and a range of techniques, you will create your own beautiful fused glass pieces in the kiln. You will be amazed at what you can achieve in a short space of time.
