Masterclass: Sculpting the Bubble – Theo Brooks
Course Outline
Explore the inside bubble sculpting technique with glass artist Theo Brookes on this immersive three day workshop. You will learn to blow vessels and discover the art of manipulating the glass form internally using the torch and specialist tools - so much can be moved, stretched, pushed and manipulated using this internal process. This course combines working with solid sculpture and hollow forms, alongside texture and colour application techniques, to create unique works of art. The first two days focus on exploring and practicing these processes, the third day is dedicated to creating your final piece.
Participants should be confident enough to gather and cut bits, but this class can accommodate students with different skill levels.
