Masterclass: Print, Stain, Blast & Bond – James Cockerill
Course Outline
Join award-winning artist James Cockerill for this innovative and hands-on glass course. This is a rare opportunity to experience how multiple processes - screen printing, sandblasting, kiln-fired enamels, traditional stained glass paints, silver and copper stains followed by plating, and UV bonding - combine to create richly layered glass collage.
Unlike traditional glass courses that focus on a single technique, this course embraces experimental and intuitive making. Over the first two days, you'll explore these processes freely, building up a collection of samples and experiments. On the final day, we'll bring everything together through cutting, layering and UV bonding to create finished framed work. No previous glass or print experience required - just a willingness to dive in and experiment. All materials, fixings and wooden frames included.
