Christmas Stained Glass Afternoon
Course Outline
Create your own Christmas window decorations using traditional stained glass techniques. Learn to sandblast ‘flashed’ glass to reveal layers of colour and to paint your designs using vitreous glass paint and silver stain with specialised brushes.
- The pieces will be fired overnight and leaded with a hook ready to collect or have posted to you.
- No experience with glass is required for this workshop
- You can expect to make 2 to 4 glass pieces according to ability.

Profile - Kerry Collison
Kerry trained in stained glass at Swansea College of Art and has worked on commercial glazing projects as part of the Cathedral Studios, Canterbury and the Architectural Glass Centre, Swansea.
Kerry’s personal work illustrates mischief and anarchy into controlled glass material; focusing on using traditional skills to produce fun and contemporary artworks. She is intent on bringing the comic book back to its original format: the stained glass window. Her pieces have been shown in numerous exhibitions, including the 6th John Ruskin Prize. Kerry was featured on Sky Arts: Bill Bailey’s Master Crafters in 2023.
