Further Glass Painting
Course Outline
A fantastic opportunity to broaden your knowledge of traditional glass painting processes. Explore using silver stain and low firing enamels with different mediums, introducing colour and layering to your work. Create a number of samples and experimental pieces which will be fired overnight.
This is an excellent extension from our traditional glass painting course. Some previous experience of painting on glass is required - this can be our introductory one day glass painting course.
Please note: due to the paint pigment containing lead this course is not suitable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Profile - Kerry Collison
Kerry trained in stained glass at Swansea College of Art and has worked on commercial glazing projects as part of the Cathedral Studios, Canterbury and the Architectural Glass Centre, Swansea.
Kerry’s personal work illustrates mischief and anarchy into controlled glass material; focusing on using traditional skills to produce fun and contemporary artworks. She is intent on bringing the comic book back to its original format: the stained glass window. Her pieces have been shown in numerous exhibitions, including the 6th John Ruskin Prize. Kerry was featured on Sky Arts: Bill Bailey’s Master Crafters in 2023.
