Glassblowing Experience Afternoon

A great glassblowing 'taster' and introduction to the magic of glass. You will gather hot molten glass straight from the furnace and shape into two objects. Through hands-on making you will gain first-hand insight into this ancient craft.

One Day Further Glass Fusing

Explore some exciting new techniques in fusing and slumping, including methods such as drop-outs, and powder techniques like fossil vitra, screen printing and part sheets. An excellent follow-on day to One Day Fusing.

One Day Glass Fusing

Discover the art of fusing glass and explore a variety of techniques. You will learn the fundamentals of glass cutting, assembly, accessory glass, metal inclusions, and kiln firing under the expert guidance of the Glass Hub Tutors. A great introduction for beginners or artists working in other mediums to experiment with this art form.

Masterclass: Trust the Process – Katherine Huskie

A world of glassmaking awaits on our immersive weekly class. Each Wednesday, you’ll get hands-on experience in glassblowing, kiln-forming, flameworking and more. Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to expand your skills, this 8-week course is the perfect way to explore all kinds of glass techniques and start bringing your ideas to life.

Fossil Vitra Glass Fusing

Join us for a day exploring the ‘Fossil Vitra’ technique to create new effects in fused glass. Using prepared organic objects such as leaves or flowers you will work with glass powder applications and stencilling to create stunning fossil-like effects.

Reactive Fusing

Combine Bullseye sheet glass, powder, frit or metal foils to create reactions when fusing, resulting in special colours and effects. We will experiment with the use of lead, copper and sulphur bearing glasses, as well as red reactive, in sheet glass, stringer and frit form, to create amazing reactive combinations.

3-Day Glassblowing (Further)

If you already have some blowing experience then take your glassblowing to the next stage. The focus of this class will be to learn to work more independently - blowing tumblers, working with colour and much more! Fully immerse yourself in the process, move at your own pace and stretch your limits.
