Cross the boundaries between flameworking and glassblowing and create intricate flameworked forms using cane pulled from the furnace and apply to blown vessels in the hotshop. An experimental class with artist Laura Quinn.

Get creative with glass and explore a range of techniques for manipulating glass in the kiln. You'll experiment with glass fusing, reactive fusing, iridescent fusing and deep fusing. We will also look at relief casting, slumping, drop-out moulds, pot melts and open-faced moulds, creating form and texture in cast glass.

The ideal follow-on course to our one-day or half-day classes. You will learn the fundamental skills of hot glass sculpture to shape a flower and a bird - getting the feel of how to master this magical material. In the afternoon create a bowl, plate or tumbler.
